Thank you to ABC’s Sally Sara (Journalist) and Nancy Notzon (Producer) for inviting Professor Matt Dun onto ABC’s Radio National Breakfast Show for the segment: Changing Australia: Matt Dun’s mission to cure a deadly childhood cancer.

Professor Dun’s journey into cancer research was anything but conventional. He began his career in the navy and completed his high school certificate as an adult at TAFE. Today, he is a leading expert on DIPG/DMG, a rare and aggressive childhood brain cancer.

His fight against DIPG/DMG became deeply personal in 2018 when his two-year-old daughter, Josephine, was diagnosed. Since then, he has dedicated his career to finding better treatments and ultimately, a cure.
