On the 20th of May, retired NSW police officer Scott Murphy will be walking 42.2 km aboard the 2026 Crown Princess World Cruise ship in the middle of the Indian Ocean to raise vital funds for research into the deadliest form of childhood cancer. Scott is no stranger to creative fundraisers, having walked the Northern Beaches Sun Run backwards!
Scott is a family friend of Sydney locals’ electrician Nick and teacher Marly Tsanadis, who experienced every parent’s worst nightmare when their daughter Demi was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) in April 2022.
